Upcoming dates and events in the Performing Arts areas of CW schools:

Auditions for the spring musical will begin the first week of March. The musical will be presented April 30 and May 1st.

The High School Choirs concert for this grading period will be on Sunday, March 7th at 3:00. There are currently some technical problems in Oley Speaks Auditorium so please stay tuned as to the location.

The Concert Band and Choir at the High School will be participating in district contests. The band will perform on Friday, March 12 at Teays Valley HS at 8:15 p.m. The choir will compete on Saturday, March 13 at 11:40 am at Thomas Worthington HS.

The Performing Arts Boosters are in the process of preparing to receive applications from Seniors who are going to continue to study in the performing arts in college. Multiple scholarships are available for those who are going to major in music or drama and for those who are planning on having one of these fields as a minor field of study. Students should check in the Guidance office for applications and deadlines.

There is community effort to make significant improvements to the High School's Locke Stadium. The Performing Arts Boosters have made a pledge over the course of the next five years to participate in this effort. A presentation will be made to members of the Performing Arts Boosters on Tuesday, March 2nd at 7:00 to share the goals and scope of this project. This is an effort bringing together business, groups and individuals throughout the community. It is hoped that this project can be completed in time for the upcoming football/soccer seasons!

The Canal Winchester Performing Arts Boosters Organization is a non-profit fund-raising parent group. We currently support Plays, Musicals, Madrigals, Vocal Music, and Instrumental Music programs at Canal Winchester Local Schools.
